Quick check in on Tuesday.
Woke up feeling pretty good. A little nervous about teaching my first class since the surgery, but good. Normally I like to get to the gym early so I can get in some lifting but today I decided to skip the weights. My students were very glad to see me. I explained my situation and promised them a great workout even though I was not 100%. And I delivered!! Great class even though I lost some of my umph after about 45 minutes.
Then it was off to... Duhn, duhn duhn... Whole Foods!! Yes, today I did need to stop at the wallet draining, waistline danger super store. But I had a list, a map and a game plan. I got my produce. I got my crab ragoons, a nice little treat for dinner. Then I found myself staring at the VitaminWaters. Yes I know glorified juice, but I decided against the VitaminWaters. Instead I got a few Hints and some of those mint waters. Yay me!
I did however go visit the cookies on my way to get hummus. And I consciously choose to get 2 cookies. One for me. And one for Luke. I am feeling good about the choice especially since there are only 2.
So now I'm home relaxing and trying to get the energy to get some lunch. What's on the menu, you ask? Home made tomato basil soup and a turkey lettuce wrap. Yumm!!
